INDEPENDENT WHEAT STUDY

An independent research study measuring the effects of Biological Fertilizer* on wheat concluded that products like Pro-Soil's PS-Foundation 1-0-1 are beneficial in helping to increase root mass and plant population, as well as aiding in more rapid decomposition of plant residue.

According to Advanced AgroData, who conducted the study in Harper County Kansas in 2006, "Based upon the results of this study, the [biological fertilizer] has set the stage for increased potential yield."

"In the nine control samples taken on 11/2/06 there were a total of 74 plants (14.8 per foot of row.) Samples treated with biological fertilizer had a total of 102 plants (20.4 per foot of row) -- a 37.84% increase in plant population.

Average total root weight of biologically treated (248.10 gms) samples doubled that of control (114.20 gms) samples.

Residue from the previous wheat crop appeared to be decomposing much more rapidly in the soil surrounding the biological samples, than that surrounding the control samples.

BIG ACREAGES

The farmer from Texas was traveling through Oklahoma and stopped to talk to a local farmer.

"How large of an acreage do you cultivate?" the Texan asked.

"Oh, it's pretty big," the Oklahoma replied. "My farm extends for about a hundred yards in that direction and for nearly a hundred-twenty yards in that. And how large an acreage do you handle?"

The Texan smiled.

"Back home," he said, "I have a ranch with my house located at one end. I can get into my truck at the house in the morning, turn the ignition key, step on the gas, and by the end of the day I still won't have reached the other end."

The Oklahoma farmer nodded sympathetically. "Yeah, that's tough. I once had a truck like that, too.

Oklahoma Field Evaluations

Outstanding in their field.

HOBART, OK (April 11, 2007) -- Ray Trent organized a wheat and alfalfa field day in Hobart, Oklahoma on April 11. There were some 30 farmers from Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas that participated.

We started at 10:30 a.m. and went to look at John Bink’s, of Bink Land and Cattle, second year alfalfa field.  John shared all of his management strategies on his Perry Farm from seeding in the fall of 2005 to present-day.

286 RFV AlfalfaYielded 6+ Tons

Last year this impressive farm yielded over 6 tons of hay during a year when moisture was 9 inches below normal. The last cut had a 286 RFV. John raises dairy quality hay and because of the potential revenue he runs biological products after every cutting. He has also started running a foliar feed packed with micronutrients as of September 6 and is seeing exceptional results.

We later went and looked at an upland wheat field where John applied a version Pro-Soil's PS-Foundation 1-0-1 and liquid fertilizer directly in furrow. He later top-dressed with 28-0-0 and a PS foliar feed. The field has less than thirty-five units of nitrogen and appears to be a 50-plus bushel potential field.
